Oral Surgeon Michael S. Harris, DMD
Dr. Michael S. Harris is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Wellington, Florida. Originally from Sacramento, California, he earned his B.A. degree at the University of California at Santa Barbara. He then conducted research and co-authored several scientific papers at both the University of Southern California and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Harris received his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was inducted into the prestigious Omikron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Dental Honor Society. After graduation he interned at Thomas Jefferson University, completing his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Nova Southeastern University/Broward General Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
In addition to his full-time private practice, Dr. Harris is currently an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University. He also has a staff appointment at Wellington Regional Medical Center and takes call monthly for the community at large. Dr. Harris is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS), a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AAOMS) and a diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology (NDBA).
Dr. Harris is married, has two young children and a golden retriever. In his spare time, he enjoys tennis, camping and snow skiing. While English is is first language, he also speaks Portuguese as his wife’s family lives in Brazil.
